General rule of travel: If you want to save money, go when everybody else is doing something else. Once Spring Training gets underway, the golf courses open, and the trees start flowering, casual skiers top thinking about skiing. (You, dear reader, do not suffer from this condition, I am sure.)
So while it's not focused on "saving money," per se, this is a nice article on places to go late-season in Europe. (My only caveat here would be that competition for airfares from the US might start going up, as people start thinking of "Paris in the springtime." )
