The "West Virginia Passport Program" is open to fourth- and fifth graders.
The Good News
- Includes three lift ticket coupons valid at Winterplace, Oglebay, Canaan Valley and Timberline
- Includes one lift ticket coupon valid at Snowshoe
- Includes one rental coupon
The Bad News
- The passport costs $40 + tax
- You only get one free rental coupon
- There are blackout dates
- You have to have a paying adult
- The resorts can limit validity "due to unforseen circumstances." (So you have to call ahead.)
(These resorts are trying to do something nice, and here I am being a Grinch. Sorry.)
The Questions
- I'm not clear on whether you need one adult per kid, or if one adult can bring multiple kids.
- Do you have to be a student/resident in WV? Or can a kid from PA or MD get the passport?
