Ram's Head is the kid- and family-focused lodge. This is where you'll find daycare, kids lessons, and a generally kid-friendly atmosphere
Location
Ram's Head is the first lodge you will find coming up the access road. Turn right just after the Killington Distillery sign which will be on the left.
Parking
Ram's Head has a very large lot. The walk from the far end of the lot can be long. The resort often leaves little wagons around the lot to help move gear up to the lodge.

Lifts
The main lift out of Ram's Head is an express (detachable) quad. Lines at this left can get very long (25 minutes it not uncommon on busy days), but the resort tends to have a lot of staff there to ensure that things keep moving.
There are also two small carpet lifts that are used for smaller kids that are just learning.
You can also catch the "Learn to Ski" bus on the street side of the Ram's Head lodge. (Ask any employee how to find the bus stop.)
Terrain
The terrain on Ram's Head Mountain ranges from "dark green" to "light blue". It's a very nice place to have some fun once you get bored with the bunny hill. It is very quiet and peaceful. Novice sliders can use the Easy Street trail that winds down and crosses several light blue trails. It's a great place for novices to challenge themselves on the blue trails, and if those are too challenging, pick up Easy Street at the next crossover.
The Timberline trail has recently been used to create a very aggressive snowpark, with lots of of features. This is NOT a beginner snowpark, and there seem to be a lot of flying monkeys. The very bottom of the Vale trail has a smaller feature set known as "Red's Shed." If you don't mind hiking for your turns, you can use this area without cost, but you do have to pick up a free ticket in the base lodge. There are very small parks at the base of the Easy Street and XXX trails that are actually a lot of fun for everyone.
If the snow is good and you want to try skiing in the trees, there are a few good places. "Treezy" (on the slider's left at the bottom of Easy Street) has a very gentle pitch and widely spaced trees to give an introduction to the feeling of being in the trees. Squeeze Play and XXX are good for a more realistic tree-skiing experience. Once you have mastered these, you can access Scarecrow and Tin Man by going hard-right off the top of the quad lift
Tips
On difficult parking days, a good call is to park in the Vale lot. Drive past Ram's Head and Snowshed, and turn right on Vale Rd. There are a number of lesser-used lots here. You can boot-up in your car, then cross the road to access the Vale trail, which will take you to the Ram's Head lodge (where you can buy a lift ticket, if necessary).
Another good use for Ram's Head is to get quick access to Snowdon mountain. You can park at Ram's Head, ride the chair, then take the Caper trail to the Snowdon Six chair. You can even make it over to the K-1 Gondola or Snowdon triple by skiing through the tunnel.
