The weirdness doesn't stop there. MRG has one of the last two single chairs in the country (the other is in Alaska), almost no snowmaking, and a building at the bottom called the 'Basebox', because calling it a lodge would probably be considered false advertising. You'll find some of the best and friendliest skiers in Vermont at MRG. Lines at the Single Chair can get really long on weekends, but if you catch MRG on a mid-week powder day will be an experience you'll remember forever.

Note that MRG does not allow snowboarding. (Any internet search will tell you why.)
